Hiroshi Ogawa

Hiroshi Ogawa (小川 博 Ogawa Hiroshi?, born April 2, 1962 in Ashikaga, Tochigi) is a former Japanese pitcher of the Chiba Lotte Marines and convicted murderer.[1]

On November 18, 2004, Ogawa murdered a 67-year-old woman Kazuko Nishiuchi.[2] The murder shocked the Nippon Professional Baseball. His uniform number 26 has been retired since 2005 though the Chiba Lotte Marines did not say that the reason was his crime. On September 29, 2005, he was sentenced to life imprisonment at the Saitama District Court.[2]
